Sappho on the Moon

The sinking moon has left the sky,
The Pleiades have also gone.
Midnight comes-and goes, the hours fly.
And solitary still, I lie.

The Moon has left the sky,
Lost is the Pleiads' light;
It is midnight,
And time slips by,
But on my couch alone I lie.

Lovely poem--and enjoy what's left of your solitude!

Thanks, but it's already gone!

Ooh yes, Sappho's fabulous! Hurrah, more Sappho!... Homer said that, but I agree with him. Achilles asked who Sappho was, but he's not up on poetry. Not like that Odysseus anyway...!

that was a deep poem, I likely.

Sappho on the Moon - awesome name and imagery. and thanks for visiting my blog - maybe you will explore the Rune casting world as a way to make some space for yourself - I have been truly amazed at the wisdom and depth of truth that comes from my Runes.

Hi Arty Em. I still haven't gotten back into creative journaling...been moving and being sick has put a big dent in my plans. But I'm still planning and hoping to get to it soon. Thanks for stopping by.
