This is a experimental piece that has taught me some valuable lessons. First, if I want to mix batik and tie dye, and have both methods produce visible results, it's best to tie dye first and then batik. Secondly, dye can be painted on but it helps to keep track of the spirals; as you can see from above I messed those up. Third, mixing the tie dye and batik can produce a great feeling of depth. The next one turned out pretty good, considering I don't really know what I'm doing.
